I see your smiling eyes so tender and soft to hold You join me in sorrow and in laughter my humble, caring friend

Your wagging tail and soft brown eyes bring me from despair I only hope you felt from me the love you much deserved

I gave to you my breath, Whith my hand I pumped your heart I watched the life ebb from your eyes as God took you into his arms I can only think He's holding you, and gently smoothing your silky hair

I pray that you can hear my words, although through tears and sorrow. and know how much I love you and that you'll never leave my heart.

For you were such a part of me and completed my sense of being. I dearly long to hold you close but can only hold your soul. I know you'd lick my tears away as you've done so many times before

I thank you for all you gave your smiling, loving eyes so soft and warm in body and spirit I give you to God's loving care.
