New Art Gallery Opens with Two Exhibitions
At Peace (atpeace.com)
554 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231
BROOKLYN, NY– At Peace, a multi-disciplinary gallery in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn opens its doors Friday, November 1st. The 3,200 square foot duplex at 554 Court Street boasts an expansive street-level gallery space, with an organic tea house slated for January 2020. As such, At Peace will be a valuable new community asset, offering contemporary visual and performing artists space to present their work to the public; while the tea house will add a nourishing element to stimulate At Peace’s creative environment and integrate it into the community as a gathering place.
At Peace is the brainchild of New York native artist and designer Howard Spann as a means of melding his passion for artistic pursuits with his love of tea. It will be served on a complimentary basis throughout the gallery’s opening month because of Spann’s belief tea nurtures the creative ideas and conversations he envisions At Peace engendering. November will be devoted to a series of free exhibitions and performances that are the product of discussions among artists and friends of the gallery about how this new At Peace space can be used to serve a special purpose.
“It’s very exciting to see At Peace come to life as a gallery showcasing important artists; I envision that the conversations and care put into these shows will reflect the environment that the soon-to-be tea house will bring on a daily basis,”— Howard Spann, Founder.
